Handset touch panel shipments to each 640 million worldwide in 2011, says Digitimes Research

    Worldwide handset-use touch panel shipments will reach 640 million units in 2011 amid fast growth in the markets for smartphones and China's white-box handsets, according to Digitimes Research.Taiwan's touch panel makers will have a 40% share of global touch panel shipments to the handset market in 2010, Digitimes Research analyst Jason Yang said.Total small- to medium-size touch panel shipments worldwide will reach 768 million and 916 million units in 2010 and 2011, respectively, Yang noted.
