DLC(Diamond-like carbon) coating
Common methods for plating DLC(Diamond-like carbon)films include Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD), Ion-beam Assisted Deposition (IBAD), Sputtering Deposition , Filtered Cathodic Arc Deposition (FCAD), Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), etc. Generally, DLC film can achieve excellent mechanical properties by adjusting the control parameters (e.g., substrate bias, plasma density...) to control the ratio of sp3 bonds in the film, for example, the hardness can be adjusted from 10 GPa to 40 GPa.
▶ High hardness
▶ Excellent wear resistance ▶ High chemical stability ▶ Low coefficient of friction ▶ High adhesion |
