Fabrication of the molds is complication and comprised of many steps, from casting,  rough machining, heat treatment, electrical discharging, grinding, polishing, rust prevention and finally surface procession. It's important to try and make a mold last as along as possible, therefore the surface processing of coating the mold will improve. It's friction resistance, wear resistance and hardness.
