Molding Tools Coating

Molding  Tools

The  molding  tools industry specifically refers to the manufacturing of casting molds, die-casting molds, stamping molds, and forging molds. Fabrication of the molds is complicated and comprised of many steps, from casting,  rough machining, heat treatment, electrical discharging, grinding, polishing, rust prevention and finally surface processing. It's important to try and make a mold last as along as possible, therefore the surface processing of coating the mold will improve it's friction resistance, wear resistance and hardness.

Powder metallurgy mold forming

There are many types of powder metallurgy mold forming dies, including: the molding method, extrusion method, bonding method, casting method, etc. Research and statistics of powder metallurgy show that mold wear is prone to die collapsing, die breaking, die cracking, die wear and die explosions most commonly on punch, mandrel and middle molds. In order to prolong the service life of the mold, DAHYOUNG's powder metallurgy mold coating can improve the mechanical properties of various parts and enhance the performance of hardness and wear resistance.

Stamping die and other

During the stamping process, punch breakage, chip blocking, and scratches on the surface of the middle mold often occur during the molding process. The reason is that the punch strength is insufficient, and the surface roughness and surface hardness of the middle mold are low. For this and other forging molds, casting metal molds, die-casting molds, DAH YOUNG can provide corresponding coating technology to extend the service life of the mold and reduce the frequency of maintenance.
